Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you deliver?
Throughout much of Cornwall. As we are in the far west (Penzance), delivery charges increase towards north Cornwall. If your town/destination isn’t listed in the delivery zones, please ask us for details.
What size tent do I need?
It depends on how much ‘stuff’ you are bringing. Four people can fit in a four berth tent, but we find that most people prefer to get something larger for the extra space offered. Try getting the next size up (e.g. 4 people in a 6 berth tent) for a more comfortable camping holiday.
Do you book campsites?
Unfortunatley we cannot book campsites for you we are happy to recommend them.
What do I need to bring?
Apart from your personal items, you will need to bring your own pillows and towels. Comfortable warm clothing, a water proof jacket and slip on shoes/flip flops are recommended. And of course, don’t forget the sun screen.
When should I come?
May to October is the extended camping season, with the hottest months being July and August. Generally the shoulder seasons are wetter but there is no guarantee of a dry summer and it is common to have a great May and September and rainy July and August.
How do I book/pay?
When you have chosen your camping equipment and the dates that it is required for, just send us an email. We will check availability and issue an invoice with payment details. You can pay by cheque, bank transfer or secure online card payment (3.5% charge).
How does it work?
If you have chosen to collect the camping equipment from our base near to Penzance it is very easy. Simply arrange a day and time and we will send you directions. You take the equipment away with you and return it to us at the end of your holiday.
If you have chosen our hassle free set up option, it is even easier. Tell us where and when you would like the equipment delivered and we can either pre pitch the tent (the campsite reception will tell you where it is pitched) or pitch it just before you arrive in case you would like any advice/demonstrations. For dismount, please inform us of your departure time. We endeavour to arrive before you leave in order to check the equipment for damage/loss. There is no need to pack anything up but we ask you to not to leave any rubbish and to leave everything in a clean condition.
